...strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:14 |
| Who we are... As of now we are a family of four. We run a family farm (www.timsfarms.com) and Don pastors a country church... (www.timsfarms.com/glassmemorialbaptist.h tml) Candyce is a stay at home mom, among other things. Lee is an active 4 year old who loves his tractors and combines. Grady is a busy boy who enjoys animals, and little JoJo loves to get into trouble with her brothers! |
| How our Family began... Don & Candyce met August 2001, and were married by March of the next year. Lee was born 4 years later, and the rest soon followed.... |
| Why we decided to home school... Our decision to home school didn't appear to be an easy one at first. We have always been disappointed in the Public Education System as a whole and our views and morals differ greatly from the secular views and liberal thinking that comes out of our P.E.S. Textbooks. At first we thought we would go ahead and send our children to public school, because we do have some good ones in the area. In the summer months we would educate them with material we saw fit, and try to undo some of the brainwashing they had received. This wasn't good enough for God! He began dealing with our hearts. We started researching and praying. This was a daunting task. We didn't know any home school families and we were often struck by fear and doubt. But God Provides... We are still beginners and learning as we go, But we have help in Christ Jesus! He would not have us to fail! It has been a great burden relieved to know that we will have a better hand in our children's raising, after all parents do know better that peers...right!!! |
